Medium
Painting - Digital Watercolor & Ink
Description
Digital watercolor and ink of one of the many lion heads as appears on the sides of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City, Utah.
If you cover the lion's nose, you can see the face of a man, eyes uplifted, crying out in agony. Imagine a crown of thorns on his head and you can see the face of Jesus Christ, the Lion of Judah, nailed to the cross and crying with a loud voice, saying, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (see Matthew 27:46).
